Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch was born in the Turbat District in Balochistan. He is a Pakistani national who obtained his education from the Bolan Medical Collage in Quetta. His main job is an eye specialist and a medical doctor. He is the president of the Baloch National Party (BNP) and currently is the Chief Minister of Balochistan after winning a seat in the general elections of 2013.
Abdul Malik Baloch first entered politics as a member of the Baloch Student Organization and then also formed his own party (BNP) in the year 1988. He was a Provincial Minister of Health and Education of Balochistan twice till date. During these periods of responsibility, he is known to have built numerous schools in parts of Balochistan. He was also the provinces’ heath minister from 1988 till 1990.
Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch is known for his political strugglefor democracy and a constant voice for the rightsof people of Baluchistan.
