Four types of skeletons are found from archeological remains of Indus Civilization. Proto-Australoids or Caucasic people were in majority. They were tall with 5 feet & 8 to 10 inches, and had large heads and small foreheads. These people were tough and strong. The second type was the Mediterranean Racial Stock but they were in minority. They were the original settlers. They were good looking people with small heads and higher foreheads. But they were comparatively smaller in height. Thirdly, there were alpine people. Their heads were big and although they were very few in numbers, they exist even today. Only one skeleton had been found of Mongoloid man and it is believed that may be he was a traveler or a trader from Central Asia rather than a permanent settler.
