Zulfiqar Mirza was born on the 12 of January 1954 in the city of Hyderabad in the province of Sindh. He is married to Fehmida Mirza who was the first female speaker in the National Assembly. Zulfiqar Mirza obtained his education first from the Cadet Collage Petaro and then from the Liaquat Medical Collage Jamshooro Sindh.
He is an important member of the Pakistan People’s Party and an immediate friend of President Asif Ali Zardari. In addition he was also given the post of Home Minister in the year 2011 in Sindh Government. He became the vice-president of the PPP in the middle of 2011.
Being a businessman he is part of the board of directors of the Mirza Sugar Mills located in the interior of Sindh. One of his main aims is to remove the corruption that occurs in Pakistan every day.
Zulfiqar Mirza departed for London in the late 2011 as he declared that he possessed papers that proved that the Muttahida Quami Movement was involved in the Murder of its leader late Imran Farooq.
After this event Zulfiqar Mirza was removed from PPP central executive committee and was asked to stay away from active politics and also resign as an MPA in Sindh.
